Legal Assistant (Edmonton)
We are looking for a high energy, reliable individual to join our Real Estate department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills. They will be a team player, be solutions focused and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Skills:

Be reliable, have a positive, “can-do” attitude, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to client service

Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution

English verbal and written skills, any additional languages spoken considered an asset
-
Software knowledge including Outlook, Word, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint and a high level of comfort learning and using additional internal software
-
Conveyancing software skills, experience with Unity considered an asset
-
Detail oriented, discreet, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment
-
Open to taking on new tasks and be able to problem solve independently

A high desire to work in a collaborative, team dynamic

3+ years experience in a real estate department considered an asset
Responsibilities:

Coordinate and complete assigned real estate files from start to finish;

Conduct land titles, tax, PPR, and other relevant searches;

Communicate with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers, and realtors;

Prepare all relevant documents for signing;

Communicate with responsible lawyer regarding all aspects of file;

Bill files as needed;

Complete final reporting to client/lender; and
-
Provide administrative support on litigation matters.
